WHO: Anyone interested in learning how to make PLARN Mats or helping to cut bags or to weave… Come on down!

And/Or donate your plastic grocery bags.

WHAT: Large sleeping mats are created by a team of workers. The mats are donated to those needing a dry, clean, warm place to lie.

WHERE: Meet downstairs in the church.

WHEN: The 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

WHY: Too many in our community are left out in the cold. This is just one

way we might help a few.

STEP #1 Donate plastic grocery bags.

STEP #2 Cut the top and bottom off of each bag.

STEP #3 Put two cut bags together & lock them into a strip to

weave.

STEP #4 Using a prepared wooden loom, weave the mat.

STEP #5 Remove the mat from the loom and attach handles.

STEP #6 Give the completed mat to someone in need.
