Family Hospice is looking for volunteers to visit patients.
Patient visitors provide companionship to hospice patients by listening, playing games, reading...the list is endless! Visits are tailored to reflect the needs and personalities of each patient. No experience is required; training is provided.

Family Hospice is a not-for-profit agency. We have been providing compassionate and professional care for thirty years.

Please contact Caryn at or 618 744-0681 for additional information. Thank you!

Help with Storm Relief!
For those who may be interested in contributing to storm relief for our neighbors affected by Hurricane Ida, the UCC Disaster Response and Recovery is accepting donations. Please go to to find out more or make a donation.

Due to a change in Memorial Hospital's record system, we currently are not able to find out who is in their Belleville or Shiloh locations when we call the Belleville-area hospitals each day. Please have someone (you, your family member, or a chaplain at the hospital) let us know when you are at any of the hospitals on either side of the river. Thank you!

Since Covid, the most vulnerable have suffered the most. St. Vincent DePaul in East St. Louis has been using their van to transport our most needy and homeless in Belleville to their facility.

Good News! Our Belleville Salvation Army has opened their Sanctuary for respite on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-12 for lunch at noon. This is where we need volunteers to sit in the sanctuary to help visit, play games, read magazines and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Please be a part of St. Paul's mission of the community. If interested or have questions please call me. I am going to volunteer one day a month. It is just 2 hours of your time that can make a difference. Contact Sandy Ritter at 222-1123 for more information.

Another mission opportunity is the Suds of Love sponsored by the city. The city pays the west end laundromat for the homeless to do their laundry every 4th Wednesday. If you would like to donate to this cause please make donation to the church marked Suds of Love and we will make sure it gets sent to the agency.

Again thank you for making a difference in our community.

Thank you,

Sandy Ritter
