Beacon Ministry, serving the communities of Belleville, Swansea, Shiloh, O'Fallon, Fairview Heights, and Caseyville, seeks to connect people in need to services and resources, help people break the chains of poverty, lead people to communities of faith, and partner with churches and others in addressing the deeper issues that contribute to poverty and hopelessness. Beacon's main focus currently is on their furniture ministry, which seeks donations of furniture in good condition to distribute to families in need. 

WHO:  The Beacon board of directors is comprised of nine people primarily drawn from the area churches. 

WHEN:  Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the odd-numbered month. 

WHERE: Trinity United Church of Christ is located in Belleville, where the Beacon office is.
