MUSICAL OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR CONGREGATION
The St. Paul Chancel Choir is a 25-voice mixed choir that sings most Sundays at 9am, as well as some additional special presentations and concerts. They rehearse on Wednesday nights, generally from September to June, from 7:15-8:45. No audition is required, just a willingness to learn, have fellowship together, and serve the Lord through music. The choir sings a wide variety of music from all style periods, both accompanied and unaccompanied.
Women’s and Men’s Ensembles sing every 4-6 weeks and generally rehearse starting the week before they sing. Because of the short rehearsal time, it is important to be able to learn music quickly to sing in these groups, which are generally drawn from the Chancel Choir.
Glory Ringers is the bell choir at St. Paul and rehearses on Wednesdays in the bell choir room off the main choir room from 6-7p. They ring every 4-6 weeks. There is no audition, but some basic rhythm and note-reading ability will be valuable.
The Contemporary Music Ensemble is a functional vocal and instrumental ensemble that is designed to support the worship experience in a contemporary setting. Designed and implemented by the pastor of St. Paul, this service will feature instrumentation, musicians, and singers in the contemporary worship tradition.
