Meet our Staff

Rachel Budko

Mother's Day Out Director

I am blessed to be part of the St. Paul Mother’s Day Out Program. I joined the program in 2019 and I am proud of the rich heritage of early childhood education that St. Paul Mother’s Day Out has provided to the community. As the Director of St. Paul Mother’s Day Out Program, I embrace the opportunity to partner with you to provide our students and families an engaging and memorable experience. I value St. Paul’s commitment to caring for your children every day. Prior to being the director, my son was a student at St. Paul MDO and that is when I really understood the value of this program.

I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale in Business Management. I worked for the Regional Office of Education in Belleville followed by Midwest Emergency Department Services, as the Director of Physician Recruitment for 13 years. After the birth of my daughter, my calling was to stay at home and to raise our family. I also volunteer in the 3-5 year old children’s faith education room at my church. My husband and I also have a passion to raise awareness for prevention of domestic violence and manage our own not-for-profit organization to help those that have been affected.

My husband and I have been married since 2012 and have 2 wonderful children, and live in Columbia, IL. We enjoy hiking, being outdoors, and taking the children on fun adventures.

2yr. old class T/Th (Purple Room)

I have been a 2 year old teacher at St. Paul's Mother's Day Out since 2001. Before I taught at MDO, I was a stay-at-home Mom to my two children (now adults), who both attended MDO. I ran an in-home daycare for 9 years. I was a Girl Scout leader for 8 years, .I've been married to my husband Rick since 1985 and have lived in the  Belleville area all my life. I am a grandma to three girls. I am a member of St. Paul's church. I enjoy crafting, sewing, and spending time with my family. I love getting to watch life through the eyes of 2 year olds, and helping them learn and explore new things.

Lynn McCullough- 2 year old class T/Th (Blue Room) 2 year old class Wed/Fri (Blue Room)

I have been happily teaching at St. Paul Mother's Day Out since 1988. My husband and I have 3 wonderful sons who have all attended the MDO preschool program. In my free time,  I enjoy collecting children's books, puzzles and toys. Reading to children is one of my greatest passions. For me, teaching 2 year olds is a joy! I love watching them grow, make friends, learn new skills, and discover how fun school can be!

Amy Le Grand - 2 year old M/W (Green Room)

I have been a teacher at St. Paul’s MDO since 2010. I have taught all age levels, but mostly the 3 year olds. Before I taught at MDO I was a stay at home mom of two wonderful kids. Both of my kids came through the MDO program, which is how I fell in love with it and eventually started teaching here. Through the years I have worked at a daycare, have worked in the kids gym at the YMCA, and have been involved in many kid ministries at church. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. It’s so fun being an MDO teacher and getting to see the kids learn and play together.

Leah Beth Black - 3 year old class T/TH (Red Room)

In 2018, I began teaching at St. Paul MDO. I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have an Elementary Education degree and teaching certificate. I taught kindergarten through eighth grade talented and gifted classes for ten years in Belleville. While living in Texas, I also started and was the director of a mother’s day out program very much like the St. Paul’s program.
I have a passion for teaching, sharing a love of learning, and music. My job teaching 3 year olds allows me to combine all of these passions into one! There’s nothing better than creating a love for learning in a young child and helping them develop a solid foundation as they begin their career in education.
My husband Marc and I have three children. Our family enjoys traveling, family adventures, and cheering on my kids at their sports activities.

Laura Osborn - 3 year old class M/W/F (Red Room)

I am married to my wonderful husband Jason, and have two children, Jordan and Asher.  Both of my children have been a part of our Mother’s Day Out program and have loved their time here.   I attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  I have worked at other preschools and before/after school programs,  and I currently serve as the Preschool Director at my home church.   I have also served as a substitute teacher and parent helper at MDO prior to becoming a teacher here.  I have a strong musical background,  and when I am not working here, I enjoy helping lead some of the praise and worship music at my church.  I try to incorporate music into my classroom lessons whenever possible!   I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the staff here at Mother’s Day Out. The staff and parents here make this such an enjoyable environment to be in.   I love teaching our little ones, and look forward to watching them grow during each school year.  Three year olds have such a strong desire to learn and explore, and  I am so grateful I get to be a part of that fun and excitement!

Jennifer Hadley-4 year old lead teacher M/W/F (Yellow Room)

I am blessed to be the mother of 4 fantastic kiddos! Previously, I was a 2nd grade teacher in Savannah, GA. I hold a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I started teaching at MDO in 2014. Prior to being a formal teacher at MDO, I subbed and worked as the teacher’s assistant during the years my children attended classes here. I absolutely LOVE teaching the Pre-K class! It is so rewarding to see these young minds soak in all the knowledge they need to prepare to go off to Kindergarten the following year.

Nicole McCullough- 4 year old lead teacher T/Th (Yellow Room)

I fell in love with the MDO program in 2008 when my eldest son was a student. Having a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and being a teacher myself, I had high expectations for a preschool program. MDO did not disappoint! Two more of my children have gone through the program since then and another will start as soon as she turns two. I taught 1st grade for several years until I decided to stay at home full-time. In 2012, I was offered a position in the 4’s classroom at MDO and taught for 3 years until I had my fourth and final baby. I took a year off to stay at home and am so thrilled to be back teaching the 4’s once again. One of my favorite quotes from C.S. Lewis states, “Children are NOT a distraction from more important work. They are THE MOST important work.”

Lindsey Davis - 4 year old co-teacher T/Th (Yellow Room)

I have been involved with the Mother’s Day Out program for several years. I have two children who came through the program and during that time I worked in the classrooms as a permanent helper and a substitute teacher. I am so excited about joining the staff at Mother’s Day Out. I can’t wait to work with all the children and aid in their educational development during this crucial Pre-K year. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for more than 10 years and we have two beautiful children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, bike riding and all things outdoors.

Kim Nunnally - 4 year old co-teacher M/W/F (Yellow Room)

I am excited to be a 2-year-old teacher with the Mother’s Day Out program at St. Paul’s. Before taking this position I was the permanent helper with the 3-year-old classroom on Monday’s. For many years I worked in different preschools and daycares in the area while attending SWIC obtaining my Associates of Arts degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have been married to my husband, Brad, for almost 10 years and have 2 amazing children, Tristan (7) and Payton (3) who currently attends here. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family, watching movies and playing board games.

Deneshia Brock - 4 year old teacher

I was blessed to find such an amazing program that my kids and I love. I am married to my husband, Bryant. We have 3 children (Nalani,Bj and Malaya). Two of which are currently going through the program. I worked as a Permanent Helper in the 3 year old class, for the 2020-2021 school year. I was the teacher for the 2 year old class. In the Fall of 2021 I will be teaching in the 4 year old class. I have  worked in a daycare facility in the Belleville area and I am currently working towards my degree in Early Childhood education at Southwestern Illinois College. I love being at MDO watching the kids learn, watching them grow and having an influence on their days/lives is so rewarding. I love being creative, hanging with my family & shopping in my free time.
